Art is a personal journey full of discoveries, emotions, and observations. Everything around me inspires my work, but one of the biggest influences on my artistic path has been theatre. My creative journey began in the world of theatre, where it wasn’t the stage that caught my attention, but the human stories unfolding within it. This deep connection to human experiences runs through all of my work.
The human body, with its energy and unique beauty, is a central theme in my art. Similarly, the complexity and depth of human nature are endless sources of inspiration for me.
How I approach this subject depends on the context of each painting—whether I’m painting a real person or an imagined character. A portrait of a real person captures their personal experiences and emotions, and I shape both form and expression to convey their essence. When painting an imagined character, I sometimes use my own image as a reference, though the stories in these works are not about my life. Rather, they reflect emotions and narratives that emerge from the mix of my imagination and the final vision of the character.
Regardless of the subject, my creative process is always intentional, requiring thought, reflection, and time. To express the intensity and variety of emotions, I often work on larger canvases, sometimes expanding them with additional panels, and experimenting with bold, striking colors to enhance the emotional impact.
The reality I paint is not a literal representation of the world around me. Instead, it is a space created from my own experiences and feelings—a study of human nature and a personal record of my observations. The symbolism in my work is clear: beauty and fragility, combined with strength and independence.
The women I paint are strong, beautiful, wise, and independent—aware of their worth, proud, and free from societal expectations. Though they may seem delicate, they are warriors with great inner strength. As a woman, I feel I can best express these emotions and tell these stories from a female perspective, offering insight into the human experience through this unique lens.
A natural evolution of my work from theatre is my involvement in museum design. This creative endeavor combines my passion for theatrical scenography with my expertise in design. I approach museum spaces as dynamic, living environments, much like a stage. Each space is a carefully curated experience where art, storytelling, and architecture come together to create an immersive dialogue with the visitor. By integrating elements of theatre into museum design, I create spaces where visitors can emotionally and intellectually connect with the artwork and objects they encounter.
My work, both in painting and museum design, is the result of an ongoing journey to explore and express human emotions, creating spaces that ignite the imagination and promote a deeper understanding of both ourselves and others. For me, art is a journey that doesn’t end with a painting or a space but lives on in every story I tell and every interaction with the viewer.
